Technical Schools Board
Hon. Godwin S. Udom
Chairman, State Technical School Board
FROM THE OFFICE OF
The Executive Chairman
The continuous downward and negative growth of the Nigerian Economy since 2014 has exposed the weakness and the inadequacies of the Nigerian Educational System. The current theoretical and general educational system bequeathed by the colonial administration is geared and focused to deliver administrators rather than entrepreneurs. The current system empasizes certificates rather than skills, philosophies, rather than productivity.
The current system emphasizes certificates rather than skills, philosophies rather than productivity.
There exist compelling reasons for a balance and a reversal to an educational system that can accelerate the growth of the economy, invigorate employment, generate productivity, promote agriculture and food sufficiency, develop industrialization and institute a technological and knowledge based business environment. The reversal is the focus of the Akwa Ibom State Technical School Board.
